In 1913, a young 13-year-old boy, Michael Romano Sr., started hauling boxes in a Southside warehouse of a local Chicago liquor distributor. Within a few years, he realized that there was great opportunity in a business revolving around beverage distribution, operations, supply chain, finance, sales and marketing. Eventually, through hard work, commitment and dedication, Michael Romano became president of Morand Bros. Beverage Co.
Michael’s drive to pursue the American dream was fueled by the support and love of his family. After nearly 30 years of helping build this vibrant business, Michael convinced his two sons — veterans and recent graduates of the University of Notre Dame — to join him in what was then Romano Brothers Beverage Co.
